TELECOM TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience as a Telecom Technician
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications systems
  • Must be fluent in the English language (spoken and written)
  • Must have overseas employment experience
  • Must provide references from previous employers
  • Strong technical knowledge of radio communication and wireless transmission systems
  • Physically fit and able to work in field and technical environments
  • Willing to work in Angola and comply with company policies

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, program, and repair Motorola VHF/UHF radios
  • Operate communication systems analyzers for testing and diagnostics
  • Perform tuning of duplexers and cavity filters
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Motorola VHF/UHF repeater systems
  • Conduct maintenance and fault diagnosis on microwave link systems, including:
    • FIBER AIR IP 10G Series
    • RADWIN Point-to-Point Wireless Bridge systems
  • Ensure optimal performance and reliability of telecom networks
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime
  • Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation
  • Follow safety procedures and technical standards during all operations
