BARISTA

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of coffee and tea origin and brewing techniques, such as the pour-over or drip method.
• Familiarity with coffee and tea equipment and accessories, such as filters, infusers and espresso machines.
• Understanding of proper cleaning and sanitization, including best practices for cross-contamination.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees and teas.
• Taking orders, including offering menu recommendations and noting dietary restrictions and customizations.
• Cleaning countertops and behind the counter, including the coffee grinders, decanters or milk brothers.
• Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized
