Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Operator

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experienced in the same field
• At least High School graduate
• No criminal record certificates for any country lived in for more than six months
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Proficiency in English sufficient to understand instructions and communicate with management
• Experience in operating large-scale Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), such as the Blansko SE 50E, with manual control, including:
  • Maximum turning diameter: 6300 mm
  • Maximum workpiece height: 2950 mm
  • Maximum workpiece weight: 50,000 kg
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-precision components (maximum deviation 0.1 mm)
• Experience in working with classification standards such as DNV, LR, or ABS is an advantage
• Experience in handling large industrial components, preferably in maritime or mining applications

Responsibilities:

• Operate Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machinery to manufacture large power transmission components for ship engines and industrial equipment
• Handle large components typical of maritime and mining industries, following classification requirements (DNV, LR, ABS, etc.).
• Produce high-precision parts with strict tolerances (maximum deviation 0.1mm); nearly every finished part is measured by an external inspection company.
• Ensure quality compliance, coordinating with external inspection companies for finished parts
• Communicate effectively with management and team members in English

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
