Vulcanizing Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Vulcanizing Technician in oil & gas or petrochemical plants
• Strong knowledge of conveyor belts, rubber components, and vulcanizing techniques
• Ability to collaborate easily with co-workers and work independently
• Familiarity with safety standards, work permits, and preventive maintenance procedures
• Good problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Inspect conveyor belts, rubber linings, and other rubber components for wear or damage
• Perform vulcanizing and splicing of conveyor belts and rubber parts
• Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the life of rubber equipment
• Operate vulcanizing machines and associated tools safely
• Follow site safety protocols, work permits, and operational guidelines
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and operators for maintenance schedules
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues promptly
