Public Transportation Company (PTC) is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service heavy vehicles and machinery used in public transportation operations. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. 

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (minimum 3 years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy vehicles
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in heavy equipment maintenance
• Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy vehicles and machinery
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections according to schedules
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions
• Operate and test heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning
