SALESMAN – DELI

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 2 years work experience

Responsibilities:

• Excellent customer service (greeting, assisting, recommending), food preparation (slicing meats/cheeses,
• Making sandwiches/platters, packaging, pricing), maintaining cleanliness (sanitizing equipment, work areas
• Ensuring freshness and safety (stock rotation, temperature checks, following health codes)
• Greet and assist customers, answering questions about products.
• Provide samples and make product recommendations.
• Take orders, weigh, slice, package, and price items
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions.
• Slice meats, cheeses, and other deli items.
• Ensure products are fresh, rotated (FIFO), and stored at correct temperatures.
• Unload deliveries and stock shelves/cases.
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment (slicers, surfaces, utensils).
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering.
• Strictly follow federal, state, and local food safety & sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and health department regulations.
• Keep work areas free of hazards and clutter.
