ONCOLGY NURSE
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Responsibilities:
- Care of neutropenia, rely relevant investigation reports oncologist with priority.
- Education to patients regarding home care. eg: colostomy, urostomy, tracheostomy care, tube feeding etc.
- Assist patients in meeting nutritional needs. Oral / assisted/ parenteral feeds.
- Participate in planning and implementing continuous quality control programs for improving nursing care and training at PIH.
- Assist with oncology investigation procedures.
- Recognize oncologic emergencies and intimate to the treating oncologist.
- Care of ports/ PIC Lines/ central Lines/ Pumps.
- Manage side effects of cancer treatment and efficient pain management.
- Prepare and Administer chemotherapy and monitor their improvement.
- Assess and prepare and counsel patients and family for chemotherapy.
