RIGGER MAN/ LIFTING OPERATOR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
  • Willing to work outdoors, in shifts, and under various weather conditions.
  • Previous experience in lashing/pinning or port work is advantage.
  • TESDA training or certificate in Port-related work
  • Prior experience working in international ports or shipping terminals.
  • Knowledge in handling basic lashing tools and materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange lashing materials in specific places as advised by the Terminal Supervisor for future usage.
  • Ensure that vessel lashing gear/twist locks are stowed tidily and safely after the unlashing and any surplus lashing gear is stowed in correct location
  • Placing/removing twist locks and managing jammed twist locks following terminal procedure.
  • Report any visible top or bottom damage of containers seen during operations.
  • Arrange tools and materials for loading/discharging special cargo handled by the crane to ensure smooth port operations.
  • Monitor and maintain work practices with a focus on health and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and vessel representatives, ensuring tasks are performed according to operations and
    safety procedures.
  • Follow safe operating procedures and instructions, preventing any injury to persons, or damage
