Medical Technologist

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST.
• Licensed Medical Technologist.
• In‐depth knowledge of medical laboratory equipment, techniques, tests, and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge in preparing and analyzing biological samples.
• Exceptional ability in summarizing and reporting test results.
• Strong attention to detail. Physically fit.

Responsibilities:

• Attend to patient requests for laboratory procedures and provide clear instructions.
• Collect and prepare blood, urine, stool, and tissue samples for analysis as requested.
• Examine collected samples and identify any cell abnormalities.
• Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
• Run Chemistry, Immunology, and other laboratory tests using available laboratory equipment, machines, and supplies.
• Establish and perform monitoring programs that ensure data accuracy, including running daily quality control and needed PMS and calibration of laboratory equipment and machines.
• Analyze laboratory reports and data accuracy
• Coordinate with patients for any necessary preparations, further instructions, and requirements needed.
• Perform quality control of all results before releasing them to patients.
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‐control and hazardous waste policies and protocols and following identification
  procedures.
• Perform daily maintenance needed by the equipment and log in appropriate logbooks all important details
• Perform appropriate troubleshooting of equipment (when necessary)
