CO-DRIVER AMBULANCE

Qualifications:

• C1 DRIVING LICENSE you’ll need to complete a C1 driving course and pass the c1 test
• FIRST AID CERTIFICATION a valid first aid certification such as level 3 emergency first aid at work
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) Bls training includes CPR and equips you to respond to various medical emergencies
• EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATOR CERTIFICATION (EVOC) this course focuses on safe driving practices including emergency response techniques and legal requirements for emergency drivers
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate the ambulance safely
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
• Physical ability to assist with patient care and vehicle maintenance
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with emergency medical services (EMS) protocols and procedures
• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with loading and unloading patients on/off the ambulance stretcher
• helping with basic patient care, such as CPR, Bandaging, and administering oxygen
• providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families
• Operating the ambulance safely, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the ambulance
• Performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate records of all patient transports
• Reporting emergency incidents and accidents
• Assisting with procuring supplies and equipments for the ambulance
• performing other duties as assigned by the ambulance driver or medical team
