Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification, specializing in pastry arts is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Expertise in baking techniques, dessert plating, and ingredient selection.
- Strong creative and artistic skills in dessert presentation
- Experience in fine dining, catering, or luxury hospitality establishments.
- Knowledge of international pastry trends and techniques.
- Proficiency in chocolate work, sugar art, and other advanced pastry skills.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods while ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate is innovative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Design and create a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menus while maintaining consistency in quality and taste.
- Oversee daily production and ensure all baked goods meet established standards.
- Manage inventory, source ingredients, and ensure cost-effective usage.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Train and supervise junior staff or kitchen assistants in pastry preparation techniques.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and tools.
- Stay updated on pastry trends and techniques to innovate and improve offerings
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
