ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (MEDIUM LOW VOLTAGE)

Qualifications:

• Graduate of 2 years Vocational Course in Electrical Technology.
• Preferably with valid TESDA NC2 Certificate in Electrical Installation & Maintenance.
• At least 3 years working experience preferably in operations and maintenance of power plant companies, high rise buildings or Air Base Facilities
• May need to possess a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Tools, equipment and materials used in the electrical trade; installation, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, apparatus and instruments; American and British standards pertaining to electrical installation and maintenance
• Familiarity in safe work practices related to the building trades and electrical work.
• Familiarity, hands on experience in all aspect of Medium Voltage Maintenance Works

Responsibilities:

• Operating and maintaining power generators and distribution system and converters;
• Interpreting schematic and one-line diagrams and hands-on test different kinds of electrical measuring instruments;
• Works on and examining electrical problems, identifying source of the problems and determining method for repair;
• Planning and organizing works; reading, interpreting and working from electrical plans and diagrams, making estimates of time needed and materials;
• Care and maintenance of all specialized tools and equipments allocated either as long-term loan or personal issue. Working with limited supervision;
• Adhering to ACGC / Client Tool Control Procedures, as and when required.
• Assisting in the execution of the training program among Saudi Trainees, whenever required;
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
• Performance of other tasks as may be required
• installs, tests, repairs, and maintains medium voltage electrical power cables and equipment, working with schematics and drawings to ensure proper functionality and safety
• Install, connect, disconnect, and maintain medium voltage electrical equipment, including transformers, capacitors, insulators, lightning arrestors, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and troubleshooting of medium voltage electrical systems and power metering equipment.
