MASTER TECHNICIAN (Volvo / Audi / Volkswagen)

Qualifications:

To qualify for this job you must have:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as Truck Mechanic, Truck Technician or Service Technician
• High school diploma, vocational diploma or short course certificate
• Experienced in troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and overhaul of various truck makes including; Volvo, Kenworth, Isuzu, Iveco, Fuso, Hino, UD, Scania, MAN, MACK,  Mercedes-Benz, Renault etc.
• Good English communication skills
• Be able to provide work references and salary evidence.
• Work in a dealership
• Proven use in diagnostic tools such as OBD2, EASY, GIDSS, Entry, Tech 2, VOCOM etc.

Responsibilities:

Some common task that you may have to perform include:

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
• May inspect vehicles and issue road-worthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve road-worthiness.
