Accountant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Must have supervisory experience in Finance and Accounting
- At least 2 years experience in General and Cost Accounting, preferably in the field of retail and wholesale business.
- Extensive knowledge of local taxation regulations, preparation of financial statements and analysis, preparation of budgets, accounts receivables and accounts payables, taxes, and payroll.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in financial reporting.
- Well-versed on an Accounting software.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple financial tasks.
- Driven and can work with minimum supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ensures the accuracy and timely payment of taxes to government agencies and prepares accounting records for external audits
- Ensure compliance with government reportorial requirements.
- Consolidates departmental budgetary requirements, submit them to the top management and monitors compliance with approved budgets.
- Oversees treasury functions, including cash management, collections, and bank transactions, while maintaining professional relationships with financial institutions.
- Manages sales invoicing for PNI and Chukk accounts.
- Validates and verifies supporting documents for purchase orders related to wholesale, retail, optometry, laboratory, clinic, and operational or office/facility maintenance expenses, ensuring payments align with agreed terms and conditions.
- Monitors balance sheet account ledgers, journal entries, aging schedules, lapsing schedules and cash position reports.
- Prepares company payroll and ensures the availability of funds through PNI collections and cash planning based on an updated weekly cash position.
- Supervises the reporting and remittance of quarterly employee and employer contributions to the Social Security Administration.
- Ensures the accuracy of inventory items by reconciling physical counts with recorded book values.
- Reconciles intercompany and intracompany accounts and coordinates with the head office and other branches as needed.
- Conducts internal audit functions to ensure compliance with financial policies and controls.
- Reconciles collections and bank transactions.
- Oversees the digitization and automation of accounting transactions, identifying development opportunities that align with the company’s goals and operational environment.
- Ensures the completion of all company clearance requirements before releasing final payments to resigned employees.
- Assists employees by interpreting and explaining financial policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains employee personnel records ensuring completeness and confidentiality
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
