Quality Control (Welding Technician)

Qualifications:

• Having Welding Certification E.g. (Cswip) Or (Cwi) Or Equivalent.
• Years Experience In Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Smaw), Gas Arc Welding (Gmaw) & Submerged Arc Welding (Saw) And Other
• Welding Processes In Line Pipe Manufacturing Mill Or Similar Industry.
• Proficiency In English And/or Arabic

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for visual, basic ndt (thickness measurement), dimension, surface and welding inspection of steel pipe in accordance with developed criteria (wps, mps, itp, checklists, process card etc.).
• Responsible to prepare timely qc reports after inspection, maintain records and keep measuring instruments in good condition,
• Responsible to monitor validity of calibration of measuring instruments
• Responsible for housekeeping of his station; responsible of safe operation of inspection activity.
• Responsible to do inspection to clients; completing other temporary/ permanent tasks required by supervisors
