BAKER/MANAGER/PASTRY CHEF
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years minimum relevant working experience as a Baker
- Experience from Mary Grace, French Baker, Bread Talk, etc. is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Hygienically hand shaping and filling dough with prepared inclusions into preset shape standards, decorating and finishing
- Proofing and baking according to precisely defined procedures
- Responsible for performing assigned tasks in production of baked goods.
- Moves and distributes bakery supplies and products in and around the bakery.
- Weighs and measures ingredients such as flour, sugar, yeast, syrup and dough.
- Helps load and unload machines, bins, hoppers, racks and ovens.
- Has the ability to lift no more than supplies on a regular basis and to continuously bend, reach, stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Cleans and maintains the equipment.
- Ensures all food safety and company standards are met and exceeded.
- Checks products for quality, and identify damaged or expired goods.
- Place dough in pans, molds or on sheets, and bake in production ovens or on grills
- Set oven temperatures, and place items into hot ovens for baking.
- Combines measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending or cooking machinery.
- Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines or steam kettles so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions
