Job Vacancy: Welding Instructor

Welding Instructor
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree.
- Qualified welder with current 6G/6GR qualification (or the ability to obtain this) in SMAW/FCAW/GMAW.
- Certified in welding inspection (CSWIP ASNT).
- Train the trainer or teaching/training qualification.
- Level C1 CEFR or 6 IELTS in the English Language.
- At least 9-11 years of industrial experience with at least 2 years in a similar training role.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all training is conducted safely and all trainees work in a safe manner.
- Perform regular checks on equipment and facilities, reporting any defects, damage, or non-conformities.
- Provide hands-on training and coaching to all trainees.
- Inspect trainee work and provide guidance on defects, their causes, and the corrective actions required.
- Assist in the scheduling and planning of training activities, ensuring efficient use of training center resources.
- Monitor trainee progress and provide suitable support as needed.
- Monitor any breaches of safety procedures and take necessary action.
- Actively participate in and promote company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures, ensuring personal safety and that of colleagues.
- Ensure all tasks are risk assessed and that the TRA/JSA are current and approved for all tasks.
- Assist the Industrial Training Manager in identifying and selecting tools, equipment, and resources.
- Identify the training needs of trainees.
- Assess trainees and develop suitable training plans.
- Ensure all training is performed safely and efficiently, complying with all relevant standards and specifications.
- Provide practical training to employees/trainees and demonstrate the safe and correct use of all tools and equipment.
- Take responsibility for the provision of all tools, equipment, and consumables, ensuring they are available in good condition and suitable quantities to meet departmental demands.
- Ensure all trainees are monitored and results recorded correctly.
- Support the Senior Welding Instructor.
- Always promote industry best practices.
Salary Range: 8000 SAR
