Refrigeration Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with Freon-based refrigeration systems.
  • Extensive experience with large walk-in freezers, retail in-line coffin, and display cases.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of diesel generators.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform additional facility maintenance tasks when required.
  • Willingness to work in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Micronesia.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant technical certifications in refrigeration or HVAC systems are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain Freon-based refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of large walk-in freezers, retail in-line coffin, and display cases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to refrigeration systems.
  • Operate and maintain diesel generators, ensuring they are functioning properly in conjunction with refrigeration systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures.
  • Assist with other facility maintenance tasks as needed, such as HVAC systems and general equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth facility operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers or technicians.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance and repair activities.
