Information Security Analyst
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related discipline.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Cyber Security along with Certifications/ Accreditations on Cyber Security.
- Required: 5-7 years of experience in the Oil& Gas Industry.
- Preferred: Experience in Petrochemical Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Q-Chem in compliance with ISO 270001/ National Information Assurance Policy and the Cybersecurity Framework by assessing Q-Chem’s IT infrastructure and data, by identifying security controls and by designing policies and supporting procedures. Provide and drive Information Security awareness and training to employees.
- Develop and establish Information Security Management System (ISMS) and monitor and report the progress to the higher management.
- Assist in the implementation of the Information Security Management System based on the ISO 27000 series standards, the NIA Policy.
- Lead the preparation and the implementation of necessary: information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Shepherd information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines through the company’s Records Information Management (RIM) process.
- Assists in the design and operation of related compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance with internal security policies, etc.
- Internally assess. evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of the security controls for Q-Chem’s information and technology systems.
- Conduct Information security awareness, training and educational activities to stakeholders.
- Present reports and recommendations to Manager, Information Systems on information security and related issues
- Work independently under the general direction of the Manager, Information Systems to ensure timely and accurate completion of information security documents and associated compliance reviews.
- Support the Information Security program including development, collection, assessment, and reporting of metrics.
- Recommend security policy changes and enhancements as needed and assist with implementation.
- Work closely with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, and Procurement to identify compliance baselines from legislative requirements and corporate objectives.
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures as needed to mitigate identified risks.
- Identify and communicate recommended security and control deficiencies for business units. Document and monitor the implementation of controls for applications, technologies& assets.
- Understand information security risks pertinent to the business goals and technology infrastructure and support an enterprise information security risk program to identify& assess and respond to risks.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging trends in information security risks; apply new techniques and trends, in-line with overall information security objectives and risk tolerance.
- Work with IS Operations and business teams to develop and document risk mitigation action plans, along with recommendations to reduce information security risk within their areas.
- Working with information security leadership, develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
- Lead the assessment/evaluation of cloud-based providers.

Over US $1 billion was invested to engineer, construct and commission the Q-Chem facility, which began commercial operations in 2004.
Located in Mesaieed Industrial City, the Q-Chem complex has a production capacity of 453,000 metric tons per annum (MTA) of polyethylene and a 1-hexene unit with a production capacity 47,000 MTA. The complex also consists of sulfur recovery and solidification plant, a water treatment plant, seawater cooling system, dock facilities and administrative buildings.
