Laboratory Tester
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Polymers Science or any related discipline.
- Required: 3-5 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 1-2 years at a Lab Assistant level.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in Polymer industries.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the day-to-day activities of the Laboratory Section to best fit of department multiple demands, in compliance to the requirements of policies and standards and in line with the quality management system, and internal customers’; requirements to monitor plant production
- Receive and log-in samples according to the testing schedule and carry out the necessary analytical tests according to written procedures.
- Perform batch grade PE products, shipment analysis and CTO sample
- Conduct weekly inspection of all equipment and inform Senior Laboratory testers whenever a problem is identified with the equipment.
- Perform scheduled quality checks or whenever required.
- Undertake minor trouble-shooting activities under the direction of the Senior Laboratory testers to always ensure equipment’s prime working condition.
- Enter test results in LIMS and inform the production team immediately on non-conforming or abnormal results.
- Assist the Senior Laboratory testers to mitigate and resolve the identified out of control process ensuring control of non- conforming Laboratory work
- Assist the Senior Laboratory testers in ensuring participation of all qualified Laboratory personnel in proficiency testing programs in an impartial manner
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
- Report all results accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
