Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one (5) year experience in driving a commercial vehicle (Ready Mix Concrete Mixer Truck)
• Minimum of Class B commercial driver license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous concrete-related experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic math skills required. Ability to read and interpret mixer truck gauges.
• Demonstrated ability to take guidance and direction from a supervisor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safety and road regulations
• Strong organizational and time management abilities

Responsibilities:

• Climb on, over and around the mixer truck in order to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads.
• Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using ladder, doing repetitive motion to inspect concrete mix consistencies and perform Quality Control checks
• Lift truck hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, climb up and down truck washing facilities
• Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times
• Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects
• Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions
• Current medical examination certificate and strong build
