ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER

Qualifications:

• The environmental/energy manager shall have a minimum of two years experience with environmental procedures, familiarity with environmental management systems (EMSs)
• Know of environmental regulations and federal energy laws and policies ( including energy and water reduction requirements and renewable energy requirements) that are applicable in project operations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that the construction work being done in a project is in compliance with the environmental regulations relating to waste, clean resources such as water, energy, and other similar matters.
• Administers procedures towards effective environmental strategies, practices, and action plans to ensure that work being done in a project creates sustainable development.
• Ensures that workforce in a project adheres to environmental policies and procedures
• Designs waste management procedures for the construction project.
• Prepares for or examines any environmental problem that might occur in the construction project and create workable action plans.
• Oversees daily activities in a construction site and maintains environmental management systems
• Maintains an updated report of the latest environmental trends and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned
