Diesel Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Trade Qualified – Mechanic/Diesel Fitter
- Qualification in operating Heavy Vehicles.
- Experience with Trucks associated repair, maintenance, and service.
- Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Welfare Act and application to the workplace.
- Possession of current ‘Heavy Rigid’ class vehicle license with ‘Hire and Reward’ endorsement.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, Valid Forklift License (LF)
- Must be at least a graduate of 1-year vocational course or Completed at least 1 year in college
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine servicing of Trucks, Prime Movers, Forklifts, Cherry Lifts, LVs, and Generators.
- Preventive and scheduled maintenance of LV and Diesel Trucks for optimized performance.
- Perform complex troubleshooting, fault rectification, repairs, and modifications.
- Preventive and scheduled maintenance of forklifts and generator servicing and repairs.
- Following up on all Pre-Starts on Trucks, Trailers, Forklifts and Generators.
- Trailer Repairs, Any other duties as required
