Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• High school diploma, certificates or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Massage Therapy: Performing various massage techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, or aromatherapy massage, depending on the client’s preferences and needs. Masseurs use their hands, fingers, elbows, forearms
• Assessment: Assessing the client’s physical condition, including their posture, range of motion, and any areas of tension or discomfort, is an important part of the masseur’s role. This helps them tailor the massage to address the client’s specific
• Client Consultation: Before beginning a massage session, a masseur typically conducts a consultation with the client to discuss their medical history, any current health issues or concerns, and their desired outcomes from the massage.
• Applying Techniques Safely: Ensuring that massage techniques are applied safely and effectively to prevent injury or discomfort to the client. This includes adjusting pressure and technique based on the client’s feedback and physical responses during
• Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Keeping massage equipment, tools, and workspaces clean and sanitized to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a hygienic environment for clients.

• Client Education: Providing clients with information and advice on self-care techniques, such as stretches, exercises, and relaxation strategies, to help them maintain the benefits of the massage between sessions and improve their overall well-being.
• Professional Development: Continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest massage techniques, research, and best practices in the field.
• Business Operations: If working in a private practice or spa setting, masseurs may also be responsible for scheduling appointments, managing client records, handling payments, and other administrative tasks.
• Maintaining Professional Boundaries: Upholding ethical standards and boundaries in the client-practitioner relationship, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting the client’s autonomy and dignity at all times.
