Machinist – Laser Operator

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Machinist with expertise in laser cutting operations.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating laser cutting machinery.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to laser cutting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certification or training in laser cutting operations.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with different materials and their laser cutting characteristics.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain laser cutting machinery efficiently and safely.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to set up and program laser cutting equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand project specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections of the laser cutting machine and perform preventive maintenance.
• Monitor the cutting process, making adjustments as necessary for optimal results.
• Troubleshoot and address any issues with the laser cutting equipment.
• Ensure the proper disposal of waste materials and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production metrics.
