Are you a Vehicle Body Builder (Bus and Truck) looking to work in Australia?
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Vehicle Body Builder with a specialized focus on bus, coach and truck construction. As a Vehicle Body Builder, you will be responsible for building, modifying, and repairing vehicle bodies, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer specifications. Your expertise in bus, coach and truck construction will be vital in creating high-quality, safe, and aesthetically pleasing vehicles.
Vehicle Body Builder (Bus and Truck)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Vehicle Body Builder for buses, coaches and trucks, experience in trailers a plus
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of different materials, including metals, composites, and plastics, used in vehicle body construction
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques, such as MIG, TIG and arc welding
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems related to vehicle bodies
- Documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidences including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good English communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
Common tasks that you may have to perform include:
- Construct and assemble vehicle bodies for buses, coaches and trucks based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. This includes fabricating components, cutting and shaping materials, and assembling structural elements. Modify existing bus, coach and truck bodies to accommodate customer-specific requirements, such as wheelchair accessibility, additional seating, or storage compartments. Adhere to engineering guidelines and safety regulations during modification processes.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on bus, coach and truck bodies to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This involves identifying and fixing structural issues, addressing corrosion, and replacing damaged parts to maintain the vehicle’s integrity.
- Perform thorough inspections on completed vehicle bodies to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations. Identify and resolve any defects or issues, and make necessary adjustments to achieve superior craftsmanship.
- Work closely with other team members, such as engineers, designers, and mechanics, to coordinate and execute projects efficiently. Provide valuable insights and suggestions to enhance the design and functionality of coach and bus bodies.
- Adhere to relevant industry standards, safety guidelines, and legal requirements while constructing and modifying coach and bus bodies. Stay updated with emerging regulations and technological advancements in the field.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material usage, time spent, and any modifications made to vehicle bodies. Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery used in vehicle body construction. Report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
