THERAPIST

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Additional certifications or advanced training in massage therapy and skincare treatments are preferred.
• Proven experience as a Spa Therapist or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in providing a wide range of spa treatments.
• Valid state license or certification as a massage therapist or esthetician, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• CPR and first aid certification may be required, depending on the employer’s policies and the specific spa environment.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the human body’s reaction to various spa treatments.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate client scheduling needs.
• Professional appearance and demeanor, with a neat and well-groomed appearance suitable for a spa environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive and memorable experience for each client.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation.
• A passion for wellness, self-care, and a genuine interest in helping others achieve relaxation, rejuvenation, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of spa treatments including massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps, and other various spa services.
• Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their spa experience.
• Consult with clients to assess their needs, preferences, and any specific concerns or medical conditions to tailor treatments accordingly.
• Provide detailed explanations of treatments, products, and services offered to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary equipment, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate and updated client records, including treatment notes, medical history, and any post-treatment recommendations or instructions.
• Uphold a high level of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the spa, including equipment, linens, and treatment rooms.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new techniques, and products, continuously expanding knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
• Assist in promoting spa services, including participating in marketing initiatives, providing input on service offerings, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the spa.
• Administer spa treatments with skill and expertise, utilizing various techniques, products, and equipment to achieve optimal results.
