Steel Pipe Welder

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Must have knowledge and experience to weld Pipe made in AiSi and CuNiFe following the welding procedures 135, 136, 141

Responsibilities:

  • Welding: Perform high-quality welds on pipes using techniques like MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
  • Blueprint interpretation: Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand the project’s layout and specifications.
  • Pipe preparation: Clean, cut, bevel, and align pipes and fittings to ensure proper fit-up before welding
  • Inspection and quality control: Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications, and make any necessary repairs.
  • Safety compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintenance: Maintain and set up welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and the ability to weld in different positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
  • Extreme focus to ensure welds are precise and to code, meeting high-pressure and structural requirements.
  • Capacity to lift and move heavy pipes and equipment and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods
