SSW – IRON WORKER

Qualifications:

• Must have Grade 3 Level – Japan Iron Works Skill Test
• Must have completed the JITCO/OTIT Technical Internship

Responsibilities:

• Using gas cutters, plasma torches, and CNC machines to shape metal parts to design specifications.
• Assembling the outer shell of the ship and reinforcing it with internal frames and girders.
• Building sections of the ship from pre-cut steel or iron plates in fabrication shops before moving them to the dock for assembly.
• Removing and replacing damaged or corroded sections of a ship’s structure during drydock repair

Requirements:

• Valid passport
• Employment CERTIFICATES
• Other CERTIFICATES related to job preferences.
