Sr Production Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in food technology, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong leadership and performance management abilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, MS Word, Excel, and Access etc
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Sound knowledge of production planning, quality, safety, and food handling standards
  • Physically fit and medically cleared for food handling
  • Willing to work extended hours and on shifting schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that Production Department follows the implementation of including HR (Human Resources) and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policies, rules and Regulations
  • Abides by the Company’s Rules and Regulations on Discipline, Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Monitoring Plan, Safety Practices and other
  • Company policies that may be issued while in the employ of this Company;
  • Appointing labor and ordering the stocks toward the smooth running of the production process.
  • Overseeing quality control throughout the production process.
  • Ensuring that production is completed before deadlines
  • Procuring and monitoring the efficiency of production equipment.
  • Updating the Production Manager on the status of projects.
  • Liaising and coordinating production with other departments.
  • Resolving labor disputes, where requested.
  • Schedules jobs based on resource availability, job priority, production record and product complexity vis-à-vis available manpower.
  • Reviews periodic utilization of critical machines and re-allocates workload to ensure maximum use and minimum downtime
  • Participates in the preparation of production and maintenance budgets.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance for implementation of preventive maintenance schedule and for faster response time during machine breakdowns
  • In close coordination with his superiors, ensures optimum usage of consumables and tools
  • Sets up formal meetings to discuss any relevant or outstanding issues with concerned personnel.
  • Monitors the Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and eliminate the causes of rejections or reworks through educating the personnel on the shopfloor.
  • Monitor implementation required production control measures and make sure the related forms (control sheets) are properly filled up.
  • Analyses accuracy of raw materials and packaging materials received and use for better control of variances.
  • Ensures that the flow of production process is aligned with flow chart and manufacturing procedure
  • Develop ways of improving and simplifying the production process without any negative effect online efficiency, quality and food safety standard
  • Oversees adherence to production plans and production standard settings.
  • Coordinates with QC on specifications and on lapses in production process.
  • Makes spot checks and reports any deviations.
  • Ensures that specifications adhere to engineering instructions
