Scaffolding Design Engineer

Qualifications:

• Must have interpretation and understanding of the requirements of
  BS 5975, EN 12811, EN’s 39, 74, 12810 (for the system), SG4 as well as
  TG20.
• Must be able to make structural calculations for any load-bearing and
  or specialized scaffoldings and develop appropriate design drawings.
• Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various
  Scaffolding Standards, applicable codes & practices
• Must be able to advise, support, and carry out site surveys for
  auditing the risk as and when required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Job Description:

• Provide scaffolding and temporary works design schemes for varied projects
• Ensure all designs adhere to the latest codes of practice, UK regulations and Company policies.
• Apply engineering knowledge to analyze the structural integrity of scaffolding and temporary works structures.
• Assess and design-out hazards where possible within the design process and propose effective control measures for the reduction and elimination
  of risk
• Conduct site surveys, collect and assess site information, liaise with clients and site teams, as well as represent the Company at design and site meetings.
• Understand the practicalities of the erection, use and dismantle of scaffolding, as well as its main functions in key industry sectors, and apply this
• knowledge to improve our service provision, processes and standards.
  Uphold the name and reputation of Denholm Industrial Group at all times.
• Adhere, at all times, to the Company policies and procedures, in particular Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
