Scaffold Design Engineer

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scaffold Design Engineer is required.
• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge in civil and structural engineering is necessary, usually obtained through education, training, and experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience in scaffold design in both 2D and 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Common tasks that you may perform include:

• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
• Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents.
• Prepare scaffolding related engineering plans, designs, and layouts.
• Prepare scaffolding related engineering calculations.
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Review shop drawings.
• Attend and participate in Client and Access Engineering Group meetings.
• Provide drawings for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• May direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities.
• Perform field activities such as observing and recording existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.
• Work in accordance with implemented ISO Quality Management System 9001:2008
