Recreation and Events Manager

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in event management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Competencies: Event planning, team management, communication, budget management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant professional certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • The Recreation and Events Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing recreational activities and events within the camps. This role ensures that all events and activities are well-coordinated, safe, and enjoyable for residents.
  • Event Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule of recreational activities and events. Coordinate with other departments and external vendors for event logistics
  • Team Management: Lead and manage event coordinators and recreation staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in event planning and execution.
  • Budget Management: Manage the recreation and events budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Oversee procurement of supplies and servicesrelated to events and activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all events and activities meet high standards of quality and safety. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of events to identify  areas for improvement.
  • Resident Engagement: Engage with residents to understand their preferences and gather feedback on events. Promote events and activities to maximize participation and enjoyment.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with events and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, andenvironmental regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on event performance, resident feedback, and issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
