Purchasing Officer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and import/export management.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and import/export regulations.
• Proficient in handling import/export documentation and customs procedures.
• Knowledge of international trade laws, tariffs, and shipping regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of raw materials, goods, and services at competitive prices.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.
• Order Management: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and monitor inventory levels to ensure timely stock availability.
• Cost Control: Monitor purchasing budgets and seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality and service standards.
• Supplier Evaluation: Assess supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure the best suppliers are retained for optimal business outcomes.
• Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid supply chain disruptions.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage all import and export logistics, including overseeing transportation, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
• Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain import/export documentation, including shipping labe
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with inventory, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations across the supply chain.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement, import/export activities, supplier performance, and inventory
