We are seeking a dedicated Pig Farm Technician to assist in the daily operations of our swine farm. This role involves ensuring the health, nutrition, and overall well-being of the pigs through proper care, feeding, and maintenance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in pig farming, including gestation, farrowing, and finishing, and is knowledgeable in farm maintenance and biosecurity practices. 

Pig Farm Technician

Qualifications:

• Graduate or undergraduate in BS Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a swine farm, preferably at a 1,000-sow level facility.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate in a farm environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of animal husbandry and farm maintenance.
• Proficiency in English; overseas farm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Feed and provide daily care for pigs, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed for piglets and adult pigs.
• Monitor pig health, identify signs of illness, and report any concerns to management.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in pig pens and farm facilities through regular cleaning and power washing.
• Assist in moving pigs and piglets between buildings and farm sections.
• Work across all sections of the farm, from gestation to finishing
• Follow farm protocols, safety guidelines, and biosecurity measures to maintain a healthy herd.
