Physician all Specialization

Qualifications:

  • For General Practitioner: minimum 5 years clinical experience after getting license or professional registration certificate related to scope of practice.
  • For Specialist: Minimum 5 years clinical experience after getting license or professional registration certificate plus 3 years experienced related to the scope of specialty.
  • Primary Medical degree from a recognized medical school and Specialization degree Scope of Practice Discipline as per Department of Healthcare Professions Guidelines, MOPH Qatar

Responsibilities:

  • Respond and attend to patient’s medical problems or conditions by performing comprehensive medical history including (but not limited to) allergy history, past medical history, family history, physical examination, assessment and requesting relevant
  • Responsible to acquire and secure patient’s written consent by explaining thoroughly the purpose and content of the consent form.
  • Performing consultation, assessment and medical/therapeutic procedures of patients under the scope of practice and approved privileges (Core and Non-Core) as stated in the license issued by Department of Healthcare Practitioners (DHP)
  • Manage patient conditions through a multidisciplinary approach that is according to patient’s need and ability base on his/her medical condition that necessitate the need for referral to other suitable medical specialist or medical department
  • Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by thinking what might go wrong in all your undertakings and take necessary measures to prevent them from happening by following patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Report to Medical Manager the risks in your area of work, develop a plan on how to mitigate those risks, and develop shared accountability for implementing and evaluating the plan. Understand patient safety and ensure it is part of the care delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of professional integrity and respect for others in all dealings with service users, colleagues, other professionals and members of the public.
  • Interpret and explain complex facts regarding patient’s condition in simple easy to understand language while being aware of level of understanding, disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Maintain an accurate patient’s comprehensive health record documentation in Electronic Medical records on timely manner in chronological order demonstrating continuity of care and response to patient as per compliance with the facility’s Electronic Manager
  • Responsible in accomplishing signed informed medical consent form from patients before performing any medical procedures in accordance with Al Safa Medical Consent Form Policies and Procedures by providing information and concise explanation to patient
  • Adhere to the principles of safe prescribing and utilizing facility’s prescribing system and tools to ensure that clinical and cost-effectiveness is considered when prescribing drugs or medications.
  • Undertake any appropriate duties or responsibilities (as directed) regarding the development of QI, Safety, and infection prevention and control requirements, and similar programs as per Al Safa policies and procedures regarding quality
  • Attend appropriate professional training courses/conferences/meetings in coordination and approval from medical manager and the HR department to keep up to date with advances in medicine and clinical practice as part of compliance of CPD/CME policies
  • Undertake to Guide all medical and clinical staff by providing adequate and appropriate supervision and mentoring wherever required.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient health information to ensure privacy and respect.
  • Comply with the Policies and Procedures of the company (HR-Admin, Medical Manager, Department) and that of the State (Ministry policies, protocols, laws, rules, and regulations)
  • Carry out any additional but reasonably related duties, functions, instructions, and appointments as advised by the Head of Department being reported to.
