NDT TECHNICIAN (RTFI TECHNICIAN)

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• ASNT RTFI Certification and RT level II

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests to determine corrosion resistance, strength and stability of material with respect to stress and temperature variations
• Identify surface defects that may affect or prevent corrosion
• Determine where corrosion can occur and how it will spread
• Using ultrasonic testing to measure the thickness of metal/material surfaces
• Identify hidden flaws, such as cracks and metal fatigue, using a magnifying glass or other devices
• Testing for defects in metal parts such as welds and joints that may weaken the part or cause fatigue damage
• Using X-rays on internal components
• Identifying evidence of separation in an object’s layers
