MIG/MAG WELDER

Qualifications

• Male, 25-50 yrs old
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Know correct sequences of MAG welding process
• Understand Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG/MAG welding equipment to join metal components or structures. This involves using an electric arc to melt and fuse metals together.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and grinding metal surfaces. Ensure that surfaces are free from contaminants such as rust, paint, or grease.
• Set up MIG welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding wire, adjusting voltage and wire speed settings, and connecting gas cylinders.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. This includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or irregularities in the welding process.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the welding requirements for a particular project.
• Utilize various welding techniques, such as butt welding, fillet welding, and groove welding, depending on the project requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed.
• Work in a variety of settings, including manufacturing plants, construction sites, and fabrication shops.
• May involve working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Coordinate with other team members, including fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure effective communication and workflow.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new welding techniques, and equipment advancements.
• Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma if High School Graduate
• Diploma and TOR if College Graduate
• Employment certificates (previous to present)
• Trainings attended
• Exit visa and Iqama id (Ex Saudi)
• Passport copy (1 year valid)
