MECHANICAL FITTER/TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Candidates must speak and understand English

Responsibilities:

• Overhaul and repair machinery and equipment.
• Undertake on-going preventative maintenance inspections of machinery and equipment, to identify and repair or report critical issues.
• Examine detailed drawings or specifications to determine job, material, and equipment requirements.
• Attend to machine/equipment breakdowns.
• Set-up, adjust and tune machines and equipment to ensure that they function according to specification.
• Operate machines to produce parts or by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling. Liaise with external contractors.
• Undertake weekend or overtime work when required.
• Maintain the maintenance office and workshop in an orderly, clean, tidy, and safe state.
• Serve on project teams formed to increase machine performance and reliability.
• For parts replacement, identify parts number, and request and raise Purchase
• Report in Mex any Jobs and parts used (breakdown, PM/inspection) as per SOP.
• Understand and comply with WHS and Quality policies and procedures, safe work instructions, safe operating procedures and legislative requirements.
• Support management as required and directed from time-to-time, which may include but is not limited to training and/or project work.
