MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry,
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for calculating the total cost of a mechanical project, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical installations, by analyzing project plans, specifications, and material costs.
• Ensure a project is completed within budget and on schedule, often collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather accurate estimates and source subcontractors.
• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, and design documents to understand the scope of mechanical work required.
• Performing detailed calculations to determine the exact quantities of materials needed for the project, including pipes, fittings, equipment, and labor hours.
• Researching and obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, labor, and equipment to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Creating comprehensive cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, overhead expenses, and contingency allowances.
