MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance roles, particularly in hospitality, marine, or vehicle maintenance.
• Technical certification in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or automotive maintenance is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with generator maintenance, vehicle repair, and boat engine servicing is a must.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions for boat and vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver’s license, and any necessary boating certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical and electrical assets within the hotel, including generators, vehicles, boat engines, and other hotel machinery.
• Role involves regular inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, as well as supporting the engineering team with general maintenance tasks around the property.
• Perform regular checks and servicing of hotel generators to ensure they operate effectively during power outages.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure reliable backup power.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair hotel vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational at all times.
• Keep records of vehicle servicing schedules and monitor performance.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on boat engines and related equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs and ensure boats are sea-ready and safe for guest use
• Address minor electrical repairs and issues within the hotel.
• Assist in installing or upgrading electrical equipment as needed
• Provide general support to the engineering department
• Assist with facility repairs, and participate in team projects.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests as needed in a courteous and professional manner.
