Line Engineer

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operating extrusion equipment, preferably in uPVC and HDPE pipe production.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes and equipment. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and monitor machine operations according to standard operating Procedures.
• Understand department safety, quality and regulatory requirements, and production goals; actively engage in meeting these goals
• Inspect raw materials and products to ensure there are no visual defects; take corrective action as needed.
• Perform advanced machine adjustments to ensure that proper construction specifications are being met
• Perform material disposition on all work-in-processes (WIP) parts as assigned.
• Minimize the production of products that do not meet specifications by quickly taking action and using investigative, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills
• Interrupt machine operation as necessary to correct operating problems. Accurately measure work in process (WIP) and finished goods in inches or centimeters.
• Assist in training of new operators
• Communicate technical issues in a timely manner to all levels (managers, shift supervisor’s, co- workers, maintenance.
• Assist with failure and perform regular minor preventive maintenance
• Perform troubleshooting to solve equipment malfunction.
• Keep accurate records and explain any discrepancies.
• Perform complete setup, adjustments, startup, and shutdown of all equipment in the area
• Maintain housekeeping at a high level in Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder employees.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisor, facilitator, or lead.
