LATHE MILLING MACHINIST

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and perform maintenance on lathe and milling machines.
  • Analyse drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure production accuracy.
  • Measure materials precisely for cutting or shaping processes
  • Choose suitable machines and settings for specific tasks.
  • Organize the sequence of operations to complete projects efficiently.
  • Oversee the production process, making adjustments to machine feed and settings as needed
  • Keep track of inventory for finished products.
  • Inspect final products for quality, recording or discarding any defects.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on machines as required
  • Ensure the workstation remains organized and clean.
  • Support team objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or concerns for prompt resolution
  • Ensure that vehicles are always equipped with necessary safety equipment and emergency supplies.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities

Employer Overview:

Qatar Electricity and Water Company is a public shareholding company founded in 1990 in accordance with the provisions of the Commercial Companies Law, for the purpose of acquiring and managing power generation and water desalination stations and sell its products, with a paid up capital of One hundred million shares of QR 10 each. Approximately 43% of the shares of the company are owned by the Government of Qatar and the remaining 57% is held by institutions and private individuals.

The Board of Directors of the company is composed of eleven board members under the chairmanship of HE Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Emiri Diwan and executive management of the company is headed by Mr. Fahad H. Al-Mohannadi, General Manager of the company.

The company is one among the largest joint stock companies in the region, owns and operates power plants and desalination stations, meets consumption needs of the country and sells its products to the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation on the terms and conditions agreed between the parties by Power and Water Purchase Agreements.
