Qualifications

• Male applicants
• Minimum of 5 years work experience

Job Description

• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment
• Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilising manual lathe and milling machines
• Maintain toolbox as per the standard and report any shortages of tools or consumable to the production supervisor
• Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixture, cutting feed, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools to be used
• Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting tools, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements
• Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements
• Ensure the proper utilisation of equipment and material
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and reflects the latest revision
• Use measuring tools and gauges to ensure quality of product
