FLOORING POLISHER / FLOOR TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in floor maintenance and polishing.
At least 1 year in college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
Knowledgeable in maintaining and restoring floor surfaces including marble, tile, vinyl, hardwood, concrete, and terrazzo.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities:

Operate floor polishing and buffing machines safely.
Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing of floors.
Remove stains, dirt, and old floor finishes efficiently.
Apply sealants, waxes, and protective coatings to various floor types.
Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in proper working condition.
Inspect floors for damage or wear and report any issues to supervisors.
Follow workplace safety and chemical-handling procedures.
Move furniture or obstacles when necessary to perform floor maintenance.
Dispose of waste materials properly according to safety standards.
Recommend and report maintenance or repair needs for flooring surfaces.
