Fire Fighting Engineer or Fire Protection Engineer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a focus on fire protection.
• NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of NFPA standards and codes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

•  Designing and developing fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
• Conducting calculations and analyses to ensure system effectiveness and compliance.
• Reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals for fire protection systems.
• Providing technical support to project teams and ensuring adherence to design intent.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest NFPA standards and industry best practices.
• Participating in the development and implementation of new technologies and design solutions.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
