ELEVATOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years work experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent competency training “Elevator Installation Level II” from Trade School certification or from a major elevator manufacturer.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout of components, frameworks, foundations and to select installation equipment.

Job Description:

• Install guide rail & brackets for the car (cabin) and counterweights.
• Install control panel and traction machine and connect with electrical wiring.
• Install pit equipment, car frame, platform and counterweight frame.
• Roping/belting of car to counterweight and installation of travelling cable.
• Install entrances and doors, hoistway equipment/ fixtures.
• Install hoistway ducting, piping and wiring systems and components.
• Install car and hoistway components (guide shoes and rollers to cabins)
• Install electric control panels/cabinet and connect with electrical wiring.
• Installing car doors, landing doors, brakes, ratchets and counterweights
• Install door mechanisms, and components such as seals, brake linings, valves, and ratchets.
• Installing, testing and adjusting safety control devices
