Electric Arc Furnace Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree preferably Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering
- 5+ yrs exp. as EAF/LF Specialist / at a SENIOR LEVEL in a similar steel manufacturing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of the industry
- Ability to think in complex and ever-changing situations.
- Ability to work well under pressure within timeframes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the Melt Shop activities to achieve performance targets.
- Correct and advise the cast shop crews for any deviations from existing work instructions
- Follow up on the execution of product cost reduction plan to identify potential areas for cost reduction
