Drilling Rig Operator

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of drilling operations, equipment, and safety practices.
• Proficient in monitoring and adjusting drilling parameters during operations
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with crew members.
• Ability to work long hours in challenging environments.
• Candidate must have passports.
• Candidate must know how to communicate in English.

Responsibilities:

• Operate drilling rigs and associated machinery, including mud pumps, rotary tables, and derricks.
• Monitor drilling parameters such as weight on bit, rate of penetration, and mud properties, making adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct pre-operation checks and inspections to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with the drilling crew to maintain smooth and safe operations.
• Maintain accurate logs of drilling activities, equipment usage, and incidents.
• Communicate operational status and any issues to supervisors promptly.
