Cooling Technician (Refrigeration)

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Cooling Technician (Refrigeration) or a related role.
• Expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety standards related to refrigeration equipment.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems (preferred). • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Must be physically fit to handle manual tasks and work in tight or high-temperature environments.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and display cases.
• Perform routine maintenance on cooling units to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
• Install new refrigeration systems and modify existing systems according to requirements.
• Ensure all refrigeration equipment complies with company and safety regulations.
• Use various tools and equipment such as pressure gauges, leak detectors, and recovery systems to diagnose issues.
• Charge and recover refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
• Assist in training junior technicians and provide support for team members when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and departments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
